YOGA

“to unite” or “to yoke”
(Sanskrit translation)

My aim is to create yoga spaces that are warm and welcoming for all body types and abilities without judgement.   As well as the physical practice of postures (asana) and breathwork (pranayama) there is a chance to learn and explore other aspects of the deep, subtle science yoga is, to keep a thread alive from its ancient Indian roots to the modern day practice.  There is no need to have a religious or spiritual belief to join and feel the benefits.
Whatever your draws you to yoga my priority is meeting you, where you are at, with compassion.  Expect playful practices that can also promote growth, expansion and depth.

Feedback

“I never practised yoga before and did this to challenge myself. I was nervous but Danielle made everyone feel welcome.  Each week a session was created in a safe way, everyone was valued and respected. Danielle created a calm environment with meditation and body scanning which really helped tap into your body and the physical practice.  Variations were always offered, with a lightheartedness.  This was so nice as it didn’t feel like at any point we were “as beginners who couldn’t do it” - we were here to learn the art of yoga and go on a journey. I would recommend this to anyone at any point in their yoga journey.  I found it truly life changing and have gained some great friendships from this.  I am looking forward to attending classes outside of the course and feel confident and empowered to do so. Thank you Danielle !”

“Danielle was so accommodating for everyone in class and they always felt relaxed and never pressured.  She gives people the opportunity to speak or sit with their thoughts if they don’t want to.  Thankful for all the tips and support.” Elle

“Loved the courses and learning theory alongside practice.  The picture making and creative aspect is a really great addition as it helps me engage further into the “why” we do the practice.” Katy

“Thoughtful, informed and really fun extended learning across the background and development of yoga for body-mind-spirit.” Gill

FEEDBACK︎︎︎

“Thank you for your patience, guidance and kindness.  I have been able to fill a personal toolbox to help me navigate my hard and low times.  I owe my life to yours and the project's support. I have found a new love for myself, growing confidence and a voice that I was scared to use before; plus the ability to learn safe boundaries.  Thank you for assisting me to self-reflect and process my emotions and trauma, enabling me to see life and myself in a better light.  I weirdly, and finally feel hopeful for the future and feel more like I can deal with what life brings.  I know I still have a long way to go, but now see recovery not as a linear thing.  I have hope that I can be independent, strong and I am well-equipped to deal with life’s peaks and troughs. Thank you for everything.”

“Danielle creates a warm and welcoming space for her beginners yoga course, a place of non-judgement with plenty of time for questions and discussion.  She facilitates group bonding that is so conducive to the learning experience. I’ve loved it!”
